JELLYFISH (MEDUZOT)

This film is a rich imaginative portrait of different women emotionally adrift in Tel Aviv. It explores Israelis frame of mind in unique fashion. It garnered Camera D' Or at 2007 Cannes Film Festival.

I find the movie very lyrical. But the most surprising to me is the minor story and appearance of certain, Ma. Nenita Dela Torre who played the role as a migrant worker trying to support his son oceans away.

Co-directed by husband and wife, Edgar Keret and Shira Geffen, Jellyfish, is a witty and warm reflection on making connections and confronting destiny in a deconstructed urban settings.
