THE BLOODY CAMPAIGN?

M and son asked me why I'm so obsessed with the election south of the border while up here I did not even vote on Alberta elections. My answer to that is simple, I won't be bothered. Because for years and years, I knew all along who is going to win. My single vote won't amount to change anything. I hate the Torys, period. And the Liberal incumbent on our riding is a shoo in anyway. The bitch I know would win despite never ever knocking on our door.

But one significant addition to Alberta Votes 2008 is the surprise win of one Pinoy Conservative candidate. His name is CARL BENITO, a real estate and insurance agent. He led to win Edmonton-Millwoods riding. GOOD FOR HEEM...I mean really, after so many 15 years...he finally ended the Grit's domination on this southeast Edmonton riding. So now we have a first Filipino MLA in Alberta's history.

But the funny thing about his hard fought campain is when he said, and I quote, We never stopped working for this. Even this morning we never stopped. We worked hard with every drop of our blood, unquote.

See? Where's the spilled blood, so dramatic...I could taste it! He even put into writing his promise to donate his $75,000 annual salary to scholarship program for the young people on this neck of the woods community. (His niece and nephews?) Very admirable. But isnt it tax deductible? So everything is actually a win-win situation.

MABUHAY KA CARLITO...YEHEY!!!
